Artist or Magician? Photographer Makes Age and Weight Disappear in Portraits of Women 40 to 90 Years

Family and friends amazed as women become their photographs

SAN RAFAEL, Calif., March 2 /PRNewswire/ -- A famous case study from the 50's tells of a housewife who completely lost her memory in a serious car accident. Prior to the accident she was described as sad, humorless and withdrawn. After losing her memory the positive attention she received as a celebrity gave her a new identity: vibrant, engaging and funny. Essentially, she became who she believed she was.

This "Believe and Become" phenomenon is the backbone of master photographer David Peters' "Truth and Grace" portrait project, which is producing transformational results for his 40- to 90-yr.-old female subjects.

"The Truth and Grace project came out of a need to prove my mature women clients wrong," says Peters. "Too many simply didn't believe they were as attractive as they once were. They had given up on that part of their life. They simply needed hope - and some kind of proof."

Peters now asks his subjects for permission to accept what he sees in them: "I will take them back in time and present them images of the beauty I see still alive inside. Sometimes all it takes is gorgeous light and the perfect angle, but if it takes removing 20 years and 30 pounds through artwork I'll do it."

Professional health coach Isabelle Gagnon is delighted: "The clients that have Truth and Grace sessions are suddenly inspired to actually follow their programs and lose weight. It is terrific motivation!"

At Spa Cielo in San Jose Del Cabo, Mexico, Cathy Dammann, a renowned skin care and laser therapy specialist, agrees: "Truth and Grace images helped my clients to believe they still deserve to be beautiful. They want to look like their pictures."

Husbands love it, too. Mike Bratton, Nevada City, Calif., says, "If you love your wife you'll want David Peters to photograph her. I was blown away!"

"Delighted disbelief is the most common first response," says Peters, of the women he photographs, "but eventually they do believe and that's when the magic happens and the restoration begins. It's extremely gratifying to be part of their 'miracle.'"

David Peters schedules Truth and Grace fine art portrait sessions across the U.S., Europe and Mexico. For information and scheduling, call 1-800-443-4861.
